We did it! A fantastic first week of school whizzed by, and I can tell by the smiling faces  I get to greet every morning, Alhamduillah! Even our little ones had minimal separation anxiety.  We’re off to a great start, and inshaAllah, we keep this enthusiasm and momentum going-GO PANTHERS! 

Teachers have been reviewing and teaching expectations and procedures as students slowly acclimate back to school and a consistent routine. Establishing routines in the first few weeks of school is crucial for a smooth-running classroom and school. This concept is equally important in the home. As families adjust to waking up early, sleeping on time, packing lunches, coming to school on time (hint, hint!!), and nightly homework, these routines need to be discussed and practiced with students consistently over the next few weeks. It takes a village to raise a child. As most of you know already, I strongly believe in this age-old proverb. A child’s first teacher is their parent, and as they grow older, many will also contribute to their growth. It is my aim to have the collective and collaborative efforts of parents, teachers, staff, and community working towards building our children into knowledgeable and compassionate young Muslims, insha'Allah.

لقد فعلناها! لقد مر أسبوع أول رائع في المدرسة، وأستطيع أن أقول من خلال الوجوه المبتسمة التي أتشرف بتحية كل صباح لها، الحمد لله! حتى أطفالنا الصغار كان لديهم الحد الأدنى من قلق الانفصال. لقد بدأنا بداية رائعة، وإن شاء الله، سنحافظ على هذا الحماس والزخم، يا PANTHERS!

يقوم المعلمون بمراجعة وتعليم التوقعات والإجراءات مع تأقلم الطلاب ببطء مع العودة إلى المدرسة والروتين الثابت. يعد إنشاء إجراءات روتينية في الأسابيع القليلة الأولى من المدرسة أمرًا بالغ الأهمية لسلاسة سير العمل في الفصل الدراسي والمدرسة. هذا المفهوم لا يقل أهمية في المنزل. بينما تتكيف العائلات مع الاستيقاظ مبكرًا، والنوم في الوقت المحدد، وتجهيز وجبات الغداء، والقدوم إلى المدرسة في الوقت المحدد (تلميح، تلميح!!)، والواجبات المنزلية الليلية، يجب مناقشة هذه الإجراءات الروتينية وممارستها مع الطلاب باستمرار خلال الأسابيع القليلة المقبلة. انقر على الرابط للحصول على بعض النصائح الممتازة حول هذا الموضوع.

يستغرق الأمر قرية لتربية طفل. كما يعلم معظمكم بالفعل، أنا أؤمن بشدة بهذا المثل القديم. المعلم الأول للطفل هو والديه، ومع تقدمه في السن، سيساهم الكثيرون أيضًا في نموه. إن هدفي هو أن تعمل الجهود الجماعية والتعاونية للآباء والمعلمين والموظفين والمجتمع على بناء أطفالنا ليصبحوا شبابًا مسلمين ذوي معرفة ورحمة، إن شاء الله.
