As-Salam-Alaikum Dear Parents, 

 

InshaAllah, this letter reaches you in the best of health and iman…ameen.

 

We have officially completed one-fourth of our academic school year, with the second quarter beginning on Wednesday, November 2,  Alhamdulillah! One quarter down, three to go! May Allah swt make it safe and successful for our school and general community. Ameen! 

 

Our Sycamore system has been updated to reflect first quarter grades and report cards are being generated. Report cards will be printed and sent home on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, inshaAllah. Parent teacher conferences will be held on Friday, November 10 from 12:00-3:30 pm. Students will have a half day of school on that day with dismissal being at 11:40. To be clear, students need to be picked up at 11:40 on Friday, November 10. Parent teacher conferences will then begin at 12:00, inshaAllah. The Sycamore portal for parent-teacher conferences will open on Tuesday, November 7 at 3:45 and will promptly close on Thursday, November 9 at 3:45 pm. Please log into Sycamore during that time period to schedule a conference for your child. If you have any questions or difficulties with scheduling, please do not hesitate to contact the school office. We are more than happy to help and guide you through the process!

 

As I mentioned in previous newsletters, our school is going through the accreditation process. Part of the process is for surveys to be completed. We are sending home a Family Survey in a large yellow envelope, which needs to be completed and returned to the school on Tuesday, November 7. As promised, students will be getting a treat if completed surveys are brought back to school on Tuesday. Be prepared for persistent requests to complete the survey😀!

 

On a solemn note, the atrocities occurring in Palestine saddens us all deeply. As Muslims, we may feel helpless, but our beautiful deen teaches us how to behave in every situation. We are directed to enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong. The hadith at the beginning of the newsletter teaches us just that. At the very least, we can feel the pain, make duas, and do what is in our capacity to help. To that end, Rockford Iqra School will be pausing on purchasing pizzas from Papa John’s Pizza until the corporation reevaluates its policies. Our office staff is reaching out to vendors who will be able to supply Wednesday hot lunches for our students on pizza Wednesdays. Next Wednesday’s lunch will be provided by Da Catch. Students will be enjoying chicken shawarma with rice, and we will keep you posted about future lunches,  insha'Allah. 

 

As a reminder, students will begin praying Asr prayer from Monday at 2:55. Therefore, dismissal will be from 3:05-3:15 until further notice.  I hope everyone enjoys their weekend and as always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. لقد أنهينا رسميًا ربع عامنا الدراسي، على أن يبدأ الربع الثاني يوم الأربعاء 2 نوفمبر، الحمد لله! ربع واحد لأسفل، ثلاثة للذهاب! نسأل الله تعالى السلامة والنجاح لمدرستنا والمجتمع العام. آمين!

 

تم تحديث نظام Sycamore الخاص بنا ليعكس درجات الربع الأول ويتم إنشاء بطاقات التقارير. سيتم طباعة بطاقات التقارير وإرسالها إلى المنزل يوم الثلاثاء 7 نوفمبر 2023 إن شاء الله. سيتم عقد اجتماعات أولياء الأمور والمعلمين يوم الجمعة 10 نوفمبر من الساعة 12 ظهرًا حتى 3:30 ظهرًا. سيكون لدى الطلاب نصف يوم دراسي في ذلك اليوم مع المغادرة الساعة 11:40. للتوضيح، يجب اصطحاب الطلاب في تمام الساعة 11:40 يوم الجمعة 10 نوفمبر. وستبدأ اجتماعات أولياء الأمور بعد ذلك في تمام الساعة 12:00 ظهرًا إن شاء الله. سيتم فتح بوابة Sycamore لاجتماعات الآباء والمعلمين يوم الثلاثاء 7 نوفمبر الساعة 3:45 وستغلق على الفور يوم الخميس 9 نوفمبر الساعة 3:45 مساءً. يرجى تسجيل الدخول إلى Sycamore خلال تلك الفترة الزمنية لتحديد موعد مؤتمر لطفلك. إذا كان لديك أي أسئلة أو صعوبات في الجدولة، فلا تتردد في الاتصال بمكتب المدرسة. نحن أكثر من سعداء بمساعدتك وإرشادك خلال هذه العملية!

 

كما ذكرت في النشرات الإخبارية السابقة، تمر مدرستنا بعملية الاعتماد. جزء من العملية هو استكمال الدراسات الاستقصائية. سنرسل إلى المنزل استبيانًا عائليًا في مظروف أصفر كبير، والذي يجب إكماله وإعادته إلى المدرسة يوم الثلاثاء الموافق 7 نوفمبر. وكما وعدنا، سيحصل الطلاب على مكافأة إذا تم إعادة الاستبيانات المكتملة إلى المدرسة يوم الثلاثاء. كن مستعدًا للطلبات المستمرة لإكمال الاستبيان😀!

 

وبملاحظة رسمية، فإن الفظائع التي تحدث في فلسطين تحزننا جميعا بشدة. كمسلمين، قد نشعر بالعجز، لكن ديننا الجميل يعلمنا كيف نتصرف في كل موقف. أمرنا بالأمر بالمعروف والنهي عن المنكر. والحديث في بداية النشرة يعلمنا ذلك. على أقل تقدير، يمكننا أن نشعر بالألم، وندعو، ونفعل ما في وسعنا للمساعدة. ولتحقيق هذه الغاية، ستتوقف مدرسة Rockford Iqra School عن شراء البيتزا من Papa John's Pizza حتى تعيد الشركة تقييم سياساتها. يتواصل موظفو مكتبنا مع البائعين الذين سيكونون قادرين على توفير وجبات غداء ساخنة يوم الأربعاء لطلابنا في البيتزا أيام الأربعاء. سيتم توفير غداء الأربعاء القادم من قبل Da Catch. سيستمتع الطلاب بشاورما الدجاج مع الأرز، وسنبقيكم على علم بوجبات الغداء المستقبلية إن شاء الله.

 

وللتذكير سيبدأ الطلاب صلاة العصر اعتبارا من يوم الاثنين الساعة 2:55. وعليه سيكون الإنصراف من الساعة 3:05 إلى 3:15 حتى إشعار آخر. أتمنى أن يستمتع الجميع بعطلة نهاية الأسبوع، وكما هو الحال دائمًا، إذا كانت لديك أي أسئلة أو استفسارات، فلا تتردد في الاتصال بنا. ونتطلع إلى رؤية الجميع في المؤتمرات إن شاء الله.
