Thank you all for attending our fundraiser last week. Our student performances stole the show, Alhamduillah! A special shout out to Mrs. Elwan, Mrs. Iman, Sh. Abdul Rashid, and Mrs. Waed for preparing our students for the occasion!  Without their hard work, we would not have been able to have such presentations. Additionally,  these performances are a wonderful opportunity for students to learn public speaking skills and gain confidence. It also provides a glimpse for the community into what the students are learning about. May Allah swt continue to provide our students with beneficial knowledge and may He provide them the guidance and wisdom to apply it…Ameen. 

 

Upon returning from winter break on January 8, middle school students will have final exam preparation week, inshaAllah.  Teachers will take that week to review the concepts students will be tested on. To allow more time for review week, we have pushed back final exams to Tuesday, January 16, and Wednesday, January 17, inshaAllah. Please scroll down the newsletter to view the final exam schedule as well as the subjects tested. Study guides for the finals will be distributed sometime next week, so please make sure your child completes their study guide during winter break so that they come back with any questions they may have. 

 

Some of you may not be aware, but every Thursday after Dhuhr prayer, Sh. Abdul Rashid spends about 10 minutes talking to students about various Islamic topics. These talks range from stories of prophets and sahaba, naseehah (advice) on applying the sunnah, tarbiyah (growth and development) lessons, and current events. This week’s talk reflected on forgiving people who have wronged you, focusing on prayer and praying on time, and doing good to others. Sh. Rasheed also reminded students that we should keep our brothers and sisters in Gaza in our daily thoughts by making duas, attending protests, and doing what we can to make others aware of the situation in Palestine. May Allah swt reward Sh. Abdul Rashid for his efforts... Ameen.

السلام عليكم أولياء الأمور الكرام،

شكرًا لكم جميعًا على حضوركم حفل جمع التبرعات الأسبوع الماضي. أداء طلابنا سرق الأضواء، الحمد لله! تحية خاصة للسيدة علوان، السيدة إيمان، ش. عبد الرشيد والأستاذة وعد لإعداد طلابنا لهذه المناسبة! وبدون عملهم الشاق، لم نكن لنتمكن من تقديم مثل هذه العروض. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، تعد هذه العروض فرصة رائعة للطلاب لتعلم مهارات التحدث أمام الجمهور واكتساب الثقة. كما أنه يوفر لمحة للمجتمع حول ما يتعلمه الطلاب. نسأل الله سبحانه وتعالى أن يزود طلابنا بالعلم النافع وأن يزودهم بالتوجيه والحكمة لتطبيقه...آمين.

 

عند العودة من العطلة الشتوية يوم 8 يناير، سيكون لدى طلاب المرحلة المتوسطة أسبوع تحضيري للامتحان النهائي إن شاء الله. سيستغرق المعلمون هذا الأسبوع لمراجعة المفاهيم التي سيتم اختبار الطلاب عليها. ولإتاحة مزيد من الوقت لأسبوع المراجعة، قمنا بتأجيل الاختبارات النهائية إلى الثلاثاء 16 يناير والأربعاء 17 يناير إن شاء الله. يرجى التمرير إلى أسفل النشرة الإخبارية للاطلاع على جدول الامتحانات النهائية وكذلك المواد التي تم اختبارها.
سيتم توزيع أدلة الدراسة للنهائيات في وقت ما من الأسبوع المقبل، لذا يرجى التأكد من أن طفلك يكمل دليل الدراسة الخاص به خلال العطلة الشتوية حتى يعود بأية أسئلة قد تكون لديه.

 

قد لا يكون البعض منكم على علم، ولكن كل يوم خميس بعد صلاة الظهر، الشيخ. يقضي عبد الرشيد حوالي 10 دقائق في التحدث مع الطلاب حول مواضيع إسلامية مختلفة. تتراوح هذه الأحاديث بين قصص الأنبياء والصحابة، والنصيحة في تطبيق السنة، ودروس التربية، والأحداث الجارية. تمحور حديث هذا الأسبوع حول العفو عن الأشخاص الذين أخطأوا في حقك، والتركيز على الصلاة والصلاة في وقتها، وفعل الخير للآخرين. ش. كما ذكّر رشيد الطلاب بأنه يجب علينا إبقاء إخواننا وأخواتنا في غزة في أفكارنا اليومية من خلال الدعاء وحضور الاحتجاجات وبذل ما في وسعنا لتوعية الآخرين بالوضع في فلسطين. جزى الله سبحانه وتعالى الشيخ. عبد الرشيد على مجهوده...آمين.
